The Microsoft Business Solution-GP, implemented by ITQAN, helps Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development’s business run like a well-oiled machine.

ADCED was established in May 2006 to facilitate economic diversification and growth through greater understanding, cooperation and engagement between public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi.

The Council was created by virtue of law no. (9) for 2006, issued by President his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, with the aim of taking part in planning the Emirate's policy, drawing up public policies and plans for the ADCED, removing obstacles facing investors and businessmen, taking part in reviewing economic legislations, spreading economic awareness among citizens and supporting activities aimed at promoting Abu Dhabi as a regional and international business hub.

The Council is chaired by General His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince & Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, is the Deputy Chairman.
 
The Council's Board of Directors is made of up of members representing public sector, private sector, Abu Dhabi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and business councils in the Emirate.

Given its strategic role in promoting Abu Dhabi as a regional and international business hub, the Council was looking for a modern and sophisticated information technology infrastructure that will help deliver deep access to decision-driving information and at the same time provide a rapid RoI. Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains has given ADCED a robust business solution which has increased efficiency and improved financial reporting. The Council now effectively manages project performance while ensuring budgets are met and billing is both accurate and timely to ensure improved cash flow and better management of costs. From forecasting to delivery, Microsoft Dynamics GP also helped ADCED accelerate sales order processes and lower costs per transaction. The solution provided by ITQAN included eKAWADER, an integrated HR/Payroll solution for Microsoft Great Plains, which allows ADCED to adhere to organizational policies while taking care of government regulations.  The integrated applications now allow better management of inventory and fill orders faster, all of which help drive superior customer service and also set ADCED on the right path to realize its strategic goal.
