Abu Dhabi, 28 January 2010: The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the regulative body of healthcare system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and ITQAN, the leading system integrator in the region, jointly showcased the automation initiative of HAAD internal business operations and e-services at Arab health 2010.
The presentation included the automation of more than 300 processes including all internal operations carried out by HAAD staff and online services offered to the public.

H.E. Engineer Zaid Al Siksek, CEO of HAAD said: “Abu Dhabi is progressing steadily towards becoming a high performing government that provides citizens, residents and businesses high-level services. The business processes automation initiative is a great achievement with impact beyond just fulfilling a business environment need; it is a step towards positioning the Emirate of Abu Dhabi among the best five governments in the world.

In addition to providing an electronic and paperless work environment, the residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will now be able to enjoy better health care services through accurate, fast and easy process”, Al Siksek added.

Automated processes pertain to health and policy, strategy, health regulation, corporate performance and operation, finance, corporate support services, quality and customer care, health system compliance and communications.

The automation project is due for completion by end of February 2010, where all HAAD business processes will be fully automated
