Application Specialist- EDMS/Livelink
Job Description: 1. Understand the project requirements 2. Understand the user/customer requirements and the nature of the business 3. Identify technical solution alternatives 4. Work closely with projects consultant/system analyst to maintain current applications and to meet further needs 5. Perform technical analyses and work with subject matter experts to ensure user needs are correctly specified and effectively implemented 6. Provide estimates for the project phases (development, implementation, deployment, and testing) 7. Develop his detailed task plans and development schedules for achieving project objectives and deliverables 8. Participate and assign development tasks 9. Work with end users to define system requirements and resolve technical issues 10. Assist in the training of data processing and user personnel on systems usage 11. Provide technical support  
 
Scope of work/activities: 1. Participate in the development phase 2. Participate in the implementation phase 3. Guide users in formulating requirements and advise on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised computer systems/applications technology 4. Analyze complex, integrated user project proposals 5. identifies omissions and errors in requirements 6. Conducts feasibility studies 7. Recommends optimum approach and develops applications design for approved projects 8. Interprets information and informally arbitrates between system users when conflicts exist 9. Plan and coordinate the analysis, design, programming, timely implementation, and testing of applications projects 10. Review design, analysis, and code for quality and adherence to standards 11. Provide on-call support for complex and critical computer applications problems and issues 12. Application Installation and configuration 13. Maintain the implemented applications.
